Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and network solutions to support citywide operations.
- Oversee the maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of enterprise-level infrastructure, ensuring 99.99% uptime.
- Conduct rigorous risk assessments and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide high-level technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior IT staff and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with agency partners to identify technology needs and drive digital modernization initiatives.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT project management.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent cloud certifications (AWS/Azure).
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and database management (SQL).
- Proven experience managing large-scale deployments and cloud environments.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
