What You Will Do:
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update GIS databases, maps, and applications to support county operations.
- Conduct spatial analysis and data modeling to provide actionable insights for planning and policy-making.
- Collaborate with various county departments to identify technical needs and deliver tailored software solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility across all government platforms.
- Train staff and stakeholders on the effective use of GIS tools and data resources.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of professional experience in GIS analysis, database management, or software development.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and other spatial analysis software.
- Strong understanding of SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in a government or public sector environment is highly preferred.
