Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update geospatial databases and mapping systems to support county planning and emergency services.
- Create high-quality cartographic products, interactive web maps, and analytical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform complex spatial analysis to solve complex land use and infrastructure challenges.
- Collaborate with engineering, planning, and public safety departments to integrate GIS data into daily workflows.
- Maintain and update parcel fabric data, ensuring high accuracy for tax and assessment purposes.
- Provide technical support and training to county staff regarding GIS software and data interpretation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geomatics, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in GIS applications and spatial analysis.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, and QGIS.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems.
- Experience with web mapping technologies (ArcGIS Online, JavaScript API) is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
