Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and VPN environments.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical state applications.
- Configure and manage firewalls, routers, and switches to ensure data security and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and upgrade legacy systems.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive citizen data.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff and helpdesk personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration, infrastructure support, or a related IT field.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network security protocols.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
