Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, maintenance, and analysis of geospatial data for state transportation projects.
- Update and maintain GIS databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy for public records and internal use.
- Prepare technical maps, reports, and visualizations for internal stakeholders and the public.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on digital mapping products to ensure compliance with federal and state standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate GIS solutions into broader project workflows.
- Perform basic spatial analysis and assist in the digitization of legacy paper maps.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Geographic Information Systems, Cartography, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and other spatial analysis software.
- Strong understanding of spatial data standards (ESRI, etc.) and data modeling concepts.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced government environment.
- Valid driver’s license is required for occasional site visits.
