Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of local and wide-area networks serving federal and state departments.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure compliance with federal standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA) and local data privacy laws.
- System Administration: Manage enterprise resource planning systems and databases, ensuring 99.9% uptime for critical government services.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced Level 3 support to civil service employees, resolving complex hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Project Leadership: Lead digital transformation projects, including cloud migration and legacy system upgrades, in collaboration with state agencies.
- Audits & Reporting: Conduct regular system audits and prepare technical reports for government oversight boards and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure within a government, military, or public sector environment.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, PowerShell, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Compliance: Must be willing and able to pass a comprehensive background investigation and obtain necessary security clearances.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical concepts to non-technical government officials.
