Responsibilities
- Manage Public Inquiries: Serve as the first point of contact for citizens, providing accurate information and routing requests to the appropriate departments.
- Record Management: Maintain and organize confidential government files, records, and databases with strict adherence to privacy protocols.
- Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and issue official correspondence, reports, and permits in a timely manner.
- Inter-Agency Coordination: Facilitate communication between various county departments and external agencies to ensure seamless operations.
- Data Entry & Reporting: Process applications and perform data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy for state and federal reporting.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role within a government or public sector organization.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with government database systems.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Compliance: Ability to pass a standard background check, drug screening, and meet all eligibility requirements for government employment.
