Responsibilities
- Manage and process employee benefits enrollment for 500+ municipal staff
- Advise employees on health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
- Coordinate with external vendors for benefits administration and compliance
- Develop training materials and conduct workshops on benefits programs
- Monitor compliance with federal/state regulations (ERISA, ACA)
- Analyze benefits usage and recommend cost-optimization strategies
- Maintain confidential employee records and documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred)
- 1+ years in HR administration or benefits coordination
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft)
- Strong knowledge of Arizona state employee benefits programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Valid Arizona driver's license (if required for travel)
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status
