Responsibilities
- Safeguard city networks against cyber threats using advanced security protocols
- Implement and maintain compliance with federal NIST and state security standards
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on municipal systems
- Develop incident response plans and lead security breach mitigation
- Train city staff on cybersecurity best practices and policies
- Collaborate with state and federal agencies on security initiatives
- Manage security infrastructure including firewalls, encryption, and access controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in government or enterprise IT security
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Expert knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 frameworks
- Experience with SIEM tools and threat detection platforms
- Active government security clearance preferred
- Strong analytical skills and crisis management abilities
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background investigation
