Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain municipal IT systems including servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure
- Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive government data
- Provide technical support to city departments and troubleshoot complex IT issues
- Collaborate on digital transformation projects and process automation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal and state IT regulations and standards
- Develop and maintain documentation for IT systems and security protocols
- Train staff on new technologies and cybersecurity best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government or enterprise IT environments
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification required
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with ITIL frameworks and service management tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
