Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security systems to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to strengthen system defenses.
- Manage and administer user access controls, permissions, and identity management protocols.
- Investigate security incidents, perform forensics, and coordinate recovery efforts.
- Ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and state-specific cybersecurity frameworks.
- Develop and maintain security documentation and incident response plans.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and system updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulatory compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
