Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable web-based applications for various municipal departments.
- Analyze complex government data sets to support evidence-based policy formulation and operational decision-making.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including FOIA requirements and security protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teamsâincluding city officials and private contractorsâto streamline public service workflows.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and implement best practices for system architecture and security.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff members within the department.
- Respond to and resolve technical incidents and service tickets with high urgency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Administration, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in full-stack development or IT project management within the public sector or a large enterprise.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
- Proven ability to obtain and maintain necessary government security clearances.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
