Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) during overnight hours.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and support for government staff hardware and software issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state information security protocols during night operations.
- Perform regular system backups, patch management, and hardware maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in the centralized government knowledge base.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new government-issued devices.
- Respond to emergency IT alerts and resolve them with minimal delay.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a government or public sector environment is highly desirable.
- Availability to work rotating night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
