Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of county vehicles, equipment, and public infrastructure. You will ensure compliance with safety regulations and contribute to the operational efficiency of the county.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment and fleet vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and County safety standards.
- Operate power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic machinery accurately.
- Assist in snow removal, road repair, and general public works duties as needed.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in the digital log system.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other county departments regarding project needs.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Arizona Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general maintenance, construction, or automotive repair.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
