Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive field inspections of construction projects to ensure adherence to specifications and safety standards
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate project documentation
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with ADA and OSHA regulations
- Coordinate with contractors, developers, and state agencies during project phases
- Review construction plans and provide technical recommendations to improve project efficiency
- Investigate citizen complaints related to public infrastructure and implement corrective actions
- Utilize GIS mapping software to document project progress and compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of construction inspection or infrastructure project experience
- Valid Kansas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS mapping, and construction inspection software
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and traverse uneven terrain
