Responsibilities
- Analyze and calculate pension eligibility and benefit amounts based on state regulations.
- Process incoming pension applications, withdrawals, and direct deposits with high accuracy.
- Provide clear, empathetic, and accurate responses to beneficiary inquiries regarding retirement funds.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and personal data in compliance with state privacy laws.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to ensure ongoing compliance with ERISA and federal pension laws.
- Perform regular audits of pension records to identify discrepancies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pension administration, benefits processing, or government accounting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
