Responsibilities
- Process Pension Applications: Review and process incoming pension claims and retirement applications with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Member Inquiries: Assist current and prospective retirees with questions regarding pension eligibility, calculations, and benefits packages.
- Data Management: Maintain and update employee pension records in our secure government database, ensuring all data is current and compliant with regulations.
- Benefit Calculations: Perform routine calculations to determine pension payouts and ensure all statutory requirements are met.
- Administrative Support: Prepare correspondence, correspondence, and reports related to pension administration and government compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the HR team and Finance department to resolve complex pension discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, or Human Resources is a plus.
- Experience: No prior experience required—we provide full training on government pension systems and software.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) is necessary.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to explain complex information clearly to the public.
- Integrity: High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive personal and financial information.
- Availability: Ability to work standard government office hours.
