In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for the administration, processing, and compliance management of the City of Cleveland’s pension plans. You will act as a trusted advisor to current and retired employees, ensuring their financial security is managed with the highest level of accuracy and care. Key Responsibilities:

- Administer pension calculations, disbursements, and member status updates with 100% accuracy.
- Process and verify employee contributions, vesting periods, and benefit eligibility.
- Provide exceptional customer service to members via phone, email, and in-person inquiries regarding retirement plans.
- Ensure strict compliance with ERISA regulations, state pension laws, and internal governance policies.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records for audits and internal reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to resolve complex payroll and retirement discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pension administration, government benefits, or actuarial services.
- Strong working knowledge of ERISA, FICA, and Ohio state retirement regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel advanced functions preferred) and pension software systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and high level of confidentiality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
