Responsibilities
- Process and verify pension benefit applications, ensuring all state regulations are met.
- Conduct thorough compliance reviews of retirement accounts and contribution records.
- Provide exceptional support and guidance to members regarding their pension plans and retirement eligibility.
- Collaborate with the payroll and HR departments to resolve discrepancies in retirement data.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date digital and physical records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in government benefits, payroll, or pension administration.
- Strong understanding of Texas state government laws and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and pension management software.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
