Responsibilities
- Pension Processing: Accurately review and process pension applications, benefit requests, and retirement paperwork for eligible government employees.
- Night Shift Operations: Manage high-volume data entry and document verification tasks during off-peak hours to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Compliance Auditing: Conduct routine audits of pension records to ensure adherence to Kansas City municipal codes and state pension laws.
- Client Communication: Assist retirees and beneficiaries via phone and email during night shifts, providing clear information regarding status and procedures.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain secure, organized digital and physical filing systems for all pension-related documentation.
- System Updates: Input data into government databases and update employee benefit profiles as required.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Public Administration is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in government administration, customer service, or financial data processing is highly desirable.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors in data entry and ensure 100% accuracy in document processing.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with public sector HR systems or pension administration software is a plus.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with diverse populations.
