Responsibilities
- Digitize and archive physical government documents into secure, searchable databases.
- Review and process incoming correspondence for accuracy and compliance with municipal protocols.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and summaries for department heads and elected officials.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive citizen information and government records.
- Coordinate with various city departments to retrieve and disseminate historical data as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance of filing systems and office equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a government, legal, or corporate administrative environment preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and discrepancies in data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, as required for government positions.
