Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using advanced X-ray equipment and metal detectors.
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches to identify prohibited items and threats.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures in accordance with federal laws.
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers, assisting with inquiries and resolving conflicts calmly.
- Operate security equipment and maintain a clean, organized screening checkpoint area.
- Collaborate with fellow officers and supervisors to ensure efficient airport operations.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required.
- Must be able to pass a federal background check and drug screening.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Ability to pass a vision test and be able to distinguish colors.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform physical searches.
