Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo to detect prohibited items and threats to aviation security.
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology to identify potential hazards.
- Conduct pat-down searches and body scans in accordance with TSA protocols and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers, answering questions and resolving concerns professionally.
- Document and report security violations or suspicious activities immediately.
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks while maintaining strict attention to detail.
- Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure 24/7 airport security.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Must be able to pass a rigorous background check, drug screen, and medical examination.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs periodically during screening processes.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to submit to a security threat assessment and polygraph examination if required.
