Responsibilities
- Patrol & Monitoring: Conduct routine patrols of government facilities and grounds to deter unauthorized access and ensure facility security.
- Access Control: Verify credentials and manage access points to prevent security breaches and maintain a safe environment.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents following established protocols and reporting procedures.
- Incident Reporting: Document all incidents, observations, and irregularities in a clear and timely manner using the government’s digital reporting system.
- CCTV Surveillance: Monitor closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems and review footage for suspicious activity.
- Visitor Management: Assist visitors, employees, and vendors, directing them to appropriate locations while maintaining a secure perimeter.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- License: Valid Texas driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Clearance: Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and medical examination.
- Skills: Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
