Responsibilities
- Conduct Security Screening: Perform screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using state-of-the-art X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors.
- Behavioral Observation: Monitor screening areas to detect potential threats and identify individuals attempting to bypass security measures.
- Customer Service: Assist travelers with questions and provide clear, professional instructions regarding screening procedures and prohibited items.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently, including logs and incident reports.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all TSA policies, regulations, and security directives at all times.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on screening equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a thorough background investigation, including a criminal history check and drug screening.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
