Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, property, and carry-on baggage using advanced X-ray and imaging technology.
- Perform physical pat-downs and body scans in accordance with TSA regulations and privacy standards.
- Identify and intercept prohibited items to ensure airport security and safety.
- Enforce security procedures and protocols to maintain a secure environment for travelers.
- Communicate effectively with passengers to explain screening processes and resolve security concerns professionally.
- Collaborate with fellow officers and supervisors to maintain operational efficiency and team cohesion.
- Remain alert and responsive during high-volume shifts to handle security incidents or emergencies.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation, drug screen, and medical examination.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact courteously with the public.
