Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Conduct thorough and efficient screening of passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using X-ray equipment, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology.
- Pat-downs and Frisks: Perform security pat-downs and bag searches in a professional and respectful manner, adhering to TSA standards.
- Observation: Monitor screening equipment and observe behavior patterns to identify potential threats or prohibited items.
- Customer Service: Assist travelers by answering questions, providing directions, and resolving issues to ensure a positive travel experience.
- Documentation: Accurately complete required forms, logs, and reports regarding screening activities and incidents.
- Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team to maintain high security standards and operational efficiency at the checkpoint.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Education: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a background investigation, including a fingerprint check and drug screen.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to pass a medical examination and possess the physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform pat-downs.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Availability: Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
