Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using state-of-the-art imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Perform physical searches and pat-downs in accordance with TSA security directives and regulations.
- Assist passengers with disabilities and special needs to ensure an accessible and smooth security experience.
- Enforce security protocols and identify prohibited items or potential threats effectively.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and excellent customer service standards during high-volume periods.
- Document screening findings accurately and report any suspicious activities or security breaches immediately.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to maintain an efficient and secure checkpoint environment.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Pass a comprehensive background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to stand for long periods (up to 10 hours) and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Must be available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
