Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private foundation grant opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop compelling grant proposals, budgets, and supporting documents that clearly articulate program impact
- Cultivate relationships with program officers and funding partners through strategic communication
- Manage grant application processes, including deadlines, compliance, and reporting requirements
- Analyze funding trends and competitive landscapes to inform strategic funding plans
- Collaborate with program teams to gather data and outcomes for grant narratives
- Maintain accurate grant databases and reporting systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Communications, Non-Profit Management, English) or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with demonstrated success securing $500k+ annually
- Expertise in researching diverse funding sources (government, corporate, private foundations)
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with ability to translate complex programs into compelling narratives
- Strong analytical skills for budget development and financial reporting
- Experience with CRM and grant management software (e.g., Salesforce, GrantStation)
- Knowledge of Jacksonville's non-profit landscape and community needs
