Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential funding sources, including government agencies, private foundations, and corporate sponsors.
- Develop and submit high-quality grant proposals, including detailed project narratives, budgets, and timelines.
- Maintain a master calendar of all grant deadlines and submission requirements to ensure no opportunity is missed.
- Collaborate with program staff to translate complex projects into compelling funding requests.
- Write and edit required progress reports and financial statements for current grantors.
- Track grant metrics and outcomes to demonstrate the impact of our work to funders.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in grant writing and fundraising within the non-profit sector.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with grant management software is preferred.
- Excellent command of the English language with exceptional grammar, punctuation, and proofreading skills.
- Demonstrated ability to write persuasively and tailor content to specific donor requirements.
- High level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Knowledge of the Texas funding landscape and local community needs is a significant advantage.
