Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research to identify relevant federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with the Foundation's strategic goals.
- Write clear, persuasive, and error-free grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and narrative reports that effectively communicate our impact.
- Manage the entire grant lifecycle, including calendar management, compliance tracking, and timely submission of applications.
- Collaborate with program staff and leadership to gather necessary data, statistics, and success stories for funding materials.
- Maintain a centralized database of potential funders and track application status to ensure no opportunity is missed.
- Prepare required financial reports and compliance documents for current grantors.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in grant writing, fundraising, or non-profit development.
- Proven track record of securing funding from diverse sources (government, private foundations, corporations).
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze funding guidelines and tailor proposals accordingly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on storytelling and data presentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with grant management software (e.g., GrantStation, Blackbaud, or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
