Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and cultivate new grant opportunities from federal, state, and private foundations relevant to our mission.
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and budget development for all grant applications.
- Write, edit, and submit high-quality proposals, narratives, and reports that align with funder requirements.
- Manage the grant lifecycle, including compliance reporting, progress updates, and relationship management with program officers.
- Collaborate with program staff and executive leadership to align grant writing strategies with organizational goals.
- Monitor trends in the philanthropic sector to adapt our fundraising strategies accordingly.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or non-profit development.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven track record of securing funding from diverse sources, including government and private foundations.
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Blackbaud) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
