About the Role:
You will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, drafting compelling narratives, and managing the full grant lifecycle from application to reporting.
Responsibilities
- Research & Strategy: Identify and research new grant opportunities, foundations, and government agencies that align with our strategic goals.
- Proposal Development: Develop and write high-quality, persuasive grant proposals, narratives, and budgets that secure funding.
- Collaboration: Work closely with program directors and executive leadership to gather necessary data and impact metrics.
- Database Management: Maintain accurate records of all applications, deadlines, and funding sources in our grant management system.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with funding agencies and foundations.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all grant reporting requirements and federal guidelines.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant writing, specifically within the non-profit or public sector.
- Track Record: Demonstrated success in securing funding from federal, state, or private foundations.
- Skills: Excellent research, analytical, and technical writing skills with a focus on clarity and persuasion.
- Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and grant management software (e.g., Salesforce, GrantMaker, or similar).
