Responsibilities
- Research and identify appropriate private, federal, and corporate funding opportunities aligned with NHEI’s strategic goals.
- Write clear, persuasive, and error-free grant proposals, narrative sections, and progress reports.
- Manage the full grant lifecycle, including deadlines, compliance, and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with program directors to gather necessary data and impact stories for proposals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with funders and community stakeholders to ensure long-term support.
- Analyze funding trends to advise leadership on strategic fundraising priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of successful grant writing experience, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Strong research skills with proficiency in grant databases (e.g., Foundation Directory Online, GrantStation, Bloomberg Philanthropies).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical information into compelling stories.
