Responsibilities
- Accurately maintain and update court records, dockets, and legal documents
- Process filings, fees, and payments with precision using proprietary software
- Provide exceptional customer service to attorneys, litigants, and judicial staff
- Coordinate court schedules, hearings, and administrative proceedings
- Prepare official reports and correspondence for judicial review
- Ensure compliance with state and federal court regulations
- Train new clerks on departmental procedures and systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- 3+ years of legal administrative or court experience
- Proficiency in court management software (e.g., Odyssey, FileTrak)
- Expert knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures
- Exceptional attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality
- Texas Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain)
