Responsibilities
- Oversee daily park operations including facility maintenance, safety protocols, and visitor engagement
- Design and execute high-impact recreational programs (sports, fitness, arts) for diverse demographics
- Manage event logistics for festivals, tournaments, and community gatherings (500+ attendees)
- Train and supervise 5-7 seasonal staff members on safety procedures and customer service standards
- Conduct facility inspections and ensure compliance with ADA and OSHA regulations
- Develop partnerships with local businesses and nonprofits to enhance park offerings
- Prepare monthly reports on park utilization, incidents, and program outcomes
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Recreation Management, Public Administration, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in parks/recreation or event management with team leadership
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
- Proficiency in facility management software (e.g., ActiveNet, RecTrac)
- Proven ability to manage budgets up to $100K
- Exceptional conflict resolution and public communication skills
