Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of parks, trails, athletic fields, and recreational facilities including mowing, irrigation, and equipment operation
- Lead engaging recreation programs (youth sports, senior activities, fitness classes) with strong customer service focus
- Ensure safety compliance through regular inspections, hazard mitigation, and proper signage placement
- Assist with special event coordination including setup, crowd management, and post-event cleanup
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on landscape beautification projects and sustainability initiatives
- Maintain accurate facility records and participate in seasonal inventory management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in recreation management or related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in park maintenance, event coordination, or customer service role
- Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)
- Ability to operate power tools, irrigation systems, and light maintenance equipment
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations
- Physical capability to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions (lifting up to 50 lbs)
