Responsibilities
- Execute heavy manual labor including excavation, material handling, and infrastructure repair
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, graders, dump trucks) with proper certification
- Perform preventative maintenance on public facilities and transportation networks
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and city compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement projects
- Document work progress and material usage in digital reporting systems
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL license with airbrake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and site surveying
- Strong problem-solving skills for on-field decision making
- Clean driving record with no major violations in 3 years
