Responsibilities
- Execute heavy civil construction projects including road maintenance, drainage systems, and utility installations
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, rollers, dump trucks) with precision and safety compliance
- Perform complex manual labor tasks including concrete pouring, asphalt repair, and grading
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance protocols
- Adhere to OSHA standards and city safety regulations in all operations
- Collaborate with engineering teams on technical blueprints and project specifications
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in municipal infrastructure or heavy civil construction
- Valid Class B CDL license with airbrake endorsement
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required
- Ability to lift 80+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in extreme weather
- Proficiency with GPS survey equipment and heavy machinery operation
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Tucson residency preferred within 90 days of hire
