Responsibilities
- Execute heavy civil construction projects using specialized machinery
- Install and maintain public infrastructure (sidewalks, drainage systems, traffic signals)
- Operate power tools and equipment safely per OSHA standards
- Conduct site preparation and material handling operations
- Perform erosion control and environmental remediation tasks
- Collaborate with engineering teams on technical blueprints
- Document daily progress and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- 3+ years heavy construction/public works experience
- Valid California Class A or B driver's license
- Certification in heavy equipment operation (backhoe, excavator)
- OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme conditions
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement skills
