Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and graders for public infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and concrete work
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams on site plans and project execution
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks
- Assist in emergency response operations during natural disasters
- Maintain accurate project documentation and progress reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years heavy equipment operation experience
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Experience with underground utility installation and repair
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of CAD software and blueprint reading preferred
- Ability to obtain Class A/B CDL within 6 months of hire
