Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and utility installation
- Conduct site safety inspections and maintain OSHA compliance
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system maintenance
- Collaborate with engineering teams on public works renovations
- Prepare job sites and maintain equipment daily
- Document project progress and material usage
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 3 years heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with municipal infrastructure projects preferred
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement skills
