Responsibilities
- Execute heavy civil construction projects including road maintenance, drainage systems, and utility installations
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders) with precision and safety compliance
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, and asphalt paving
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain job site cleanliness
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors on project specifications and timelines
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
- Document daily progress and material usage through digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of heavy construction or public works experience
- Valid California Class B driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and construction equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
