Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate construction equipment such as excavators, rollers, and loaders.
- Maintain Infrastructure: Perform road maintenance, including paving, patching, and crack sealing to ensure road safety.
- Utility Installation: Assist in the installation and repair of sewer lines, water mains, and drainage systems.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict OSHA safety regulations and site protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Site Cleanup: Keep work sites clean, organized, and free of debris after daily operations.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack construction materials accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in general construction or public works laboring.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are essential.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of construction tools and machinery operation.
- Teamwork: Strong ability to work collaboratively with other crew members and supervisors.
