Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers) for infrastructure projects
- Install/repair drainage systems and road surfaces
- Perform site preparation and utility maintenance
- Adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project specifications
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintenance
- Support emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- 3+ years of heavy equipment operation experience
- Valid Virginia Class B Commercial Driver's License
- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with municipal infrastructure projects
- Stormwater management certification a plus
