Responsibilities
- Execute infrastructure repairs and maintenance (roads, bridges, drainage systems)
- Operate heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, graders) with precision
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain job site cleanliness
- Read blueprints and technical schematics accurately
- Assist in emergency storm response and disaster recovery operations
- Collaborate with engineering teams for project implementation
- Document work progress and material usage daily
Qualifications
- Valid Kansas Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in extreme weather
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Welding certification preferred (AWS D1.1)
- Stormwater Management BMP certification a plus
