Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and concrete work
- Conduct road maintenance, sewer repairs, and drainage system upkeep
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain equipment cleanliness
- Collaborate with engineering teams on public works projects
- Document work progress and maintain project logs
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure repairs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class B CDL license or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Minimum 2 years construction/public works experience
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights/weekends
