Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology and physical inspection methods.
- Enforce strict security regulations and procedures to maintain a safe transportation environment.
- Identify prohibited items and take immediate action to neutralize potential threats.
- Operate X-ray machines and explosive trace detection equipment with high accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, including those with special needs.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and physical readiness during all shifts.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation, including a fingerprint check and drug screening.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
