Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Process driver license renewals, commercial driver's license (CDL) testing, and vehicle title transfers.
- Verify customer information and ensure all documentation meets state requirements.
- Answer complex inquiries regarding traffic laws, vehicle registration fees, and tax collector services.
- Maintain accurate records and data entry in the department's computer systems.
- Assist with special projects and community outreach events as needed.
- Uphold strict confidentiality and follow all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in customer service, government, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems, keyboarding, and data entry.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
