Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Staffing: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting vacancies, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and extending job offers for federal positions.
- Personnel Actions: Process employment actions such as appointments, promotions, transfers, and performance ratings in compliance with OPM regulations.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries, mediating conflicts, and resolving personnel issues confidentially.
- Benefits Administration: Assist staff with enrollment, changes, and inquiries regarding federal benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files and HR databases, ensuring strict adherence to privacy laws and data security standards.
- Policy Implementation: Ensure all HR practices align with federal laws, executive orders, and agency policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal position.
- Security Clearance: Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain a favorable adjudication.
- Experience: At least 1 year of professional experience in HR administration, recruitment, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
